Does KENLY offer OEM and ODM services?

Yes. KENLY provides both OEM (manufacturing to your existing design and brand) and ODM (developing new products based on your requirements) services. We have been doing this since 2011 and can support the full process from concept to mass production.

What is the difference between OEM and ODM at KENLY?

OEM means you provide the design, logo, and specifications and we manufacture accordingly. ODM means we develop the product design together based on your market needs, target price, and function requirements. Both options support private-label branding.

Can I add my own brand logo to the products?

Yes. Private-label branding is one of our core services. Your logo can be applied to the product housing, inner pot, control panel, packaging, and user manual. We can also adjust colors and design elements to match your brand identity.

How experienced is KENLY in OEM/ODM manufacturing?

KENLY has been manufacturing rice cookers and small kitchen appliances since 2011. Our factory covers 12,000 square meters with in-house injection molding, metal processing, assembly, and quality testing. We serve customers in Southeast Asia, Europe, South America, and other global markets.

Can KENLY develop a completely new product for my brand?

Yes. Our ODM team can develop new rice cooker models based on your target market, price range, cooking habits, voltage requirements, and design preferences. We provide samples for approval before mass production begins.

Product Customization

What customization options are available?

We support customization of capacity, color, logo, packaging, plug type, voltage, inner pot material, heating plate type, control panel layout, and function settings. Almost every aspect of the product can be tailored to your market and brand requirements.

What plug types does KENLY support?

We support a wide range of country-specific plugs including VDE (Germany/EU), South Africa, American (US/Canada), Brazil, BS (UK), Switzerland, Korea, Australia, and Argentina plugs. Please specify your target market when requesting a quotation.

What inner pot options are available?

Available inner pot options include standard aluminum pots, non-stick coated pots, inside-and-outside coated pots, and stainless steel inner pots. Each option has different cost, durability, and market positioning. We can recommend the best option based on your target price and market.

Can I customize the packaging design?

Yes. We can produce packaging according to your artwork and design requirements. Options include full-color printed boxes, neutral packaging, multi-language user manuals, and customized inner packing. Please provide your artwork files in AI or PDF format with bleed marks.

What voltage options are supported?

We manufacture products for different voltage markets including 110V, 220V, and dual-voltage configurations. Please confirm the target market voltage and frequency (50Hz or 60Hz) when placing your order to ensure correct production.

MOQ & Samples

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

MOQ varies by product model and customization level. For standard models, MOQ is typically negotiable. For OEM/ODM orders with custom branding and packaging, MOQ requirements are higher. Please contact us with your product requirements and we will provide a specific MOQ for your inquiry.

Can I order samples before placing a bulk order?

Yes. We strongly recommend ordering samples before mass production. Samples allow you to evaluate product quality, cooking performance, appearance, and packaging. Sample support is available upon request. Please contact us to discuss sample fees and lead time.

How long does it take to receive a sample?

For standard existing models, samples can usually be arranged within 3-7 business days. For ODM samples with customized design or tooling, the lead time is longer depending on the complexity of changes required. We will provide a specific timeline after reviewing your requirements.

Is there a sample fee?

Sample fees depend on the product model and customization requirements. Standard samples may have a nominal fee. For ODM samples requiring new tooling or significant development work, development costs may apply. Sample fees may be refundable or credited against bulk order payment in some cases.

Can MOQ be negotiated for new customers?

Yes. We understand that new buyers need flexibility when starting a business relationship. We are open to discussing MOQ arrangements for new customers, especially for trial orders. Please contact us directly and we will work with you to find a practical solution.

Quality Control

What quality control processes does KENLY follow?

KENLY operates under ISO 9001 quality management. Our QC process includes incoming material inspection, in-process control, electrical safety testing, cooking performance testing, and 100% final inspection before shipment. We can also apply ISO 2859 or ISO 3951-1 sampling methods upon customer request.

What are the main quality risks for rice cookers?

Common quality issues in rice cookers include unstable heating, poor contact between inner pot and heating plate, weak plastic housing, coating defects, inaccurate thermostat control, plug mismatch, and electrical safety failures. Our QC procedures are specifically designed to identify and prevent these issues.

Do you perform 100% inspection before shipment?

Yes. KENLY carries out 100% final inspection before every shipment. This includes visual appearance checks, functional testing, cooking performance verification, electrical safety testing, and packaging integrity checks. Inspection reports can be provided upon request.

Can I arrange a third-party inspection?

Yes. You are welcome to arrange third-party inspection by agencies such as SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek, or your own QC team before shipment. We will cooperate fully and provide access to the production facility and finished goods for inspection.

Is KENLY ISO 9001 certified?

Yes. KENLY operates under ISO 9001 quality management system certification. This ensures consistent quality standards across our manufacturing processes, from incoming materials through to final product delivery.

What certifications does KENLY support?

We support CB, CE (LVD + EMC), GS, KC, UKCA, INMETRO, RoHS, and DGCCRF reports. These certifications cover major markets including Europe, the UK, Germany, South Korea, Brazil, and others. We can advise which certifications are required for your target market.

Do products come with CE certification?

CE certification is available for products destined for the European market. This includes both LVD (Low Voltage Directive) and EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) compliance. Please specify CE requirement when requesting a quotation so we can confirm the applicable scope.

What certification is needed for the UK market?

Products for the UK market require UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking, which replaced CE marking for Great Britain after Brexit. We support UKCA certification. Please confirm your target market and we will advise on the correct certification route.

Is INMETRO certification available for Brazil?

Yes. We support INMETRO certification for the Brazilian market. Brazil requires INMETRO approval for electrical appliances. We have experience working with customers in South America and can guide you through the certification process.

Can you help with certification for new markets?

Yes. We have experience supporting certifications for various global markets. If you are entering a new market with specific certification requirements, please share the details and we will assess our ability to support and advise on the process and timeline.

Packaging & Shipping

What packaging options are available?

We offer full-color printed retail boxes, neutral packaging, multi-language user manuals, and customized inner packing with foam or carton inserts. Export master cartons are designed for safe sea freight and air freight shipping. We can also design packaging to meet retail shelf requirements.

What shipping methods are available?

We support sea freight (FCL and LCL), air freight, and express courier delivery. Sea freight is most common for bulk orders. We can work with your nominated freight forwarder or recommend reliable shipping partners based on your destination.

Which ports does KENLY ship from?

Our factory is located in Lianjiang City, Guangdong Province. We typically ship from Guangzhou, Foshan, or Shenzhen ports. We can arrange inland transportation to any major Chinese port based on your shipping requirements.

Can KENLY handle export documentation?

Yes. We provide standard export documentation including commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and other documents required for customs clearance. For specific document requirements, please inform us in advance.

How is the product protected during shipping?

Products are packed in individual retail boxes with protective inner packing, then placed in export master cartons with reinforced corners and moisture-resistant treatment. We conduct drop tests and compression tests to ensure packaging integrity during sea freight transportation.

Lead Time & Payment

What is the production lead time?

Production lead time for standard OEM orders is typically 25-45 days after order confirmation and deposit receipt. Lead time for ODM orders with new tooling or significant customization may be longer. We will provide a specific production schedule when confirming your order.

What payment terms does KENLY accept?

We accept T/T (Telegraphic Transfer) and L/C (Letter of Credit). Standard payment terms are 30% deposit upon order confirmation and 70% balance before shipment. For established customers, other arrangements may be discussed. Please contact us to confirm payment terms for your order.

Can the lead time be shortened for urgent orders?

In some cases, we can expedite production for urgent orders depending on current production capacity and material availability. Please contact us as early as possible with your required delivery date and we will assess feasibility and advise accordingly.

When does production start after order placement?

Production begins after order confirmation and receipt of the deposit payment. We will issue a production schedule and provide updates at key milestones including material preparation, production start, and pre-shipment inspection.

Are there any hidden costs I should be aware of?

We aim for transparent pricing. Costs to consider beyond unit price include tooling fees for new molds (if applicable), sample fees, certification fees, packaging design and printing setup costs, and shipping charges. We will itemize all costs clearly in our quotation.

After-Sales Support

What after-sales support does KENLY provide?

KENLY provides responsive after-sales support including technical assistance, spare parts supply, defect analysis, and replacement arrangements for confirmed quality issues. We take after-sales seriously because long-term customer relationships are central to our business.

What happens if there is a quality issue after shipment?

If quality issues arise after shipment, please provide photos, videos, and a written description of the problem. We will investigate promptly and propose a fair solution, which may include replacement parts, product replacement, or credit towards future orders, depending on the nature of the issue.

Can KENLY supply spare parts for after-market service?

Yes. We can supply spare parts including inner pots, heating plates, control panels, lids, and other components. Having spare parts available helps you provide better after-sales service to your customers and reduces product return rates.

Does KENLY support repeat orders and long-term supply?

Yes. Supporting stable repeat orders is a priority for us. We maintain production records and material specifications for your products to ensure consistency across multiple production runs. Long-term customers benefit from priority scheduling and stable pricing.
